Would a company accept a two-week notice sheet in letter written form?

So, I've been thinking about quitting my job for probably the past 2 years. I am really fed up with about half the workers. Just not my ideal type of friend. About 90-95% of the workers at my job Smoke weed, underage drink, and/or pills, and I'd rather not be around that. For anyone on this app that does that, you do you but I just don't want to be sucked into that. But anyways, got off-topic, I don't like the workers but I wrote the managers and boss a letter and put it in their "mailbox" by their office. If you were a manager would you accept that?

My issue is I have a speech impediment and they know that. But the way they react to my speech or stutter is the same as my dad reacts by saying "what" really loud and overreacted. Then I get anxious and do it more. I stutter way more around the manager than any other worker at the job.

The easiest thing to do is write it out like you did which is ALWAYS what should be done so it's documented for HR. Then hand it in to them in person. So they have it. You want to make sure they actually know you turned it in. But writing a letter of resignation should always be done.

So I wrote it out and luckily it is saved on my laptop. In case they try to say I never gave it to them. I did that because my friend that used to work at the place tried to quit and the store director when my friend wasn't there ripped it up and said she never gave it to them. But luckily that director isn't there anymore. On the paper what I did to somewhat show that it was me. I put my signature, 2 times my full name, and 2 times my initials. Also I put the date and the words "2week notice"

Rachel776 I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience with your HR department. I will say that's a hasty generalization as most people in HR try to be safe spaces for companies. Unfortunately most corruption can lead back to the leadership team, so the Generalist who's trying to help you may not have the power to inact an actual change.

Gopackers02 that's a good way to do it. Considering what the last director did I might also send it in email after turning in the notice.

A 2-week notice should always be in written form, and given directly to your boss, optional copy to HR.

I would think. Either rhand it in personally, email it, or certified mail it.

I did that due to just nervousness. My friend said that it might not work. But I'll give it a try and if the manager or boss questions if it is really me they can probably just ask me in person. It's not really hard to think someone would want to quit the job I work at. Like 90% of the people there hate it or just like it for the weed smokers LOL

I wouldn’t worry about it. There’s not much they can do to you even if you do mess it up.
