I passed the test and I was honest enough in the final interview and told them my supervisor didn't know about my application. But then after my final interview they reach out to my supervisor. My supervisor was shocked and told them he know nothing about it and got mad why he was never asked. The current management was asking how come I didn't let my supervisor know. After four days, I get a rejected letter from other department.

Because you shown to be a liability to your organization, an employee who can just decide to quit silently without notice. Most organizations expect prior notification where there are chances of change in employment terms (that isn’t limited to retirement or resignation only) so that they can prepare for a replacement.
