Nothing is "FREE" , so you pay for it in one way or the other. I know people that won't buy a product if there is shipping costs. They are too stupid to realize that the price they pay include shipping costs. You can't raise taxes on rich to pay for these programs. There is not enough money there and rich people and even corporations will leave country taxing them. Trump used tariffs to get some of that money back , but I don't think tariffs really worked. High taxes is why Corporations left America and why US doesn't make anything.

Considering how much tax money goes to your military, I’m surprised you Americans are so shit scared of public healthcare. And I don’t necessarily believe in free post secondary school, there’s no reason for it to be as expensive as it is, even here it’s insanity.
As much as I despise how the government handles finances, I think public healthcare is a perfectly reasonable expense

yes. I had a total hip replacement last year. I got in to see the doc in 3 weeks and had the surgery two weeks later. 4 weeks after the surgery I had rehab. I paid a 20 dollar co pay for the whole thing. Is this a great country or what?

This past winter I had trouble getting in to see a doctor. Then the prescription I got was not available so i had to call the doc and get a script for an alternate drug that was not very effective. We never had these problems in 2020 even thought we were in m the middle of a pandemic. What has changed since 2020? I give three guesses. Hint is it rhymes with blow.

Technically we do pay tax on our wages to get free healthcare except for dentistry and opticians unless on state benefits and qualify for free treatment on teeth and eyes too, as for education we have free education through to college level 2 courses, you only have to pay at level three and above, unless you get an apprenticeship then your employer pays for your education.
