My coworker doesn’t have a lot to do and I’ve been given tons of new projects. She has her status as Busy most of the day. How can I address it?

She also had internet issues yesterday and I had to do some of the work for her. She has one or two things she has to divert her attention to and the entire rest of the team has ton of new projects they’re working on, including myself. She sets her status as busy but I know she doesn’t have as much to do. Should I tell my boss about this? If she’s easily overwhelmed this is going to stress me out and I’ll be getting all the new projects.

She also sets her status as Be Right Back often and it’s usually in excess of 40-60 minutes that she’s gone.

What I’ve found out from work history and dealing with supervisors is they follow the path of least resistance. If they know you’re going to piss and moan every time they come they’ll avoid you.
