Does privilege make you Channel your skills better?

My cousin’s dad was a doctor and her high school was ranked number 1 in the Pennsylvania state and she was one of the best students in her high school and her neighbours father had a degree from Harvard. She was a beauty queen due to her fitness obsession and expensive clothes and it seemed we came from two totally different worlds when we reached our teenage years. Now she is an Ivy League educated business owner and her husband is an Ivy League educated investor along with his hedge fund owning parents.

Growing up, we were in two totally different worlds cause she was partying and going on dates and I was studying the bible at home.

I had to work a crappy part time job while i went to a crappy commuter school. I struggled the whole time. I struggled academically and financially the whole time. Finally i had to drop out because i fell behind paying tuition. If I had rich parents I could have gone to a fancy college and live on campus. Instead of working at night i could be studying and instead of commuting i could be sleeping.

The word " privilege' is used by someone who has been given an upper hand for whatever reason. Example: ( Someone who is rich and has never had to endure... any real type of suffering). While another person ( is mad because they didn't get a Benz for their bday).

I’m talking about hard working people who also had opportunities other people did not. Like my cousin came from a rich family but also worked 14 hour days on Wall Street and exercised like crazy to find a good boyfriend.
