Isn't it a privilege to have morals and values in this messed up generation. My ex called me old school before leaving me after 2 years of a relationship cuz he discovered he's polyamorous and I didn't want to share him. He said he doesn't like my way of thinking and that im old school. Felt like an insult cuz along with that he also said that I want to be with him but he doesn't want to be with me. This really hurt and resonated with Mr cuz I love him. I just think with the way the world is headed, we are doomed and our future generations are doomed. And I feel lucky to hold on to values and morals between right and wrong. Allowing me not to hurt others. Ur insights?

Privilege... to have morals and values? Absolutely NOT!

Anyone can have them. It's a personal choice to accept them as a building block for the way you conduct yourself! Who tells you lying is bad? Or stealing? Or cheating on a boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband? Or getting married? Think about it... WHERE do you get those morals from?

For me, it's God's word, the Bible. He's the one who told people how to live their lives. Those morals have been handed down since the beginning of time. And for those people in the world without a Bible, God said He'd write His "law" on their hearts.

A privilege to have morals? No way. YOU... and everyone else has free choice. That's how God made us. Only YOU decide whether to accept morals as your life "code" to live by. It's definitely NOT a privilege. It's a flat out choice.

I'm very sorry this guy tossed you aside. He's the one who's losing someone of value! Please... be more careful who you attach your heart to, in the future. I hope you find a great guy to spend the rest of your life with.

The vast majority of people are monogamous. Liberalizing social moores isn't going to change a predisposition to not wanting to share your partner, it's just going to stop people from shitting on those who feel differently.

Find a boyfriend who's compatible with your values. There are lots of them, and there always will be.

He’s a POS. He was just using that as his excuse to justify being able to screw other women. It’s better that you’re not w him. Someone will appreciate you form who you are, for what you bring to a relationship. I guarantee he may have called you old school but I’m sure he likes certain things that are considered old school as well. He sounds like a little boy. Find yourself a man.
