If you found out a professor had a student conduct written like this, would you still take his or her class?

Students are expected to be on time to each class.
Students are expected to maintain the same standards of professionalism online that they would need to have in person.
No controversial imagery or behavior will be tolerated in any way and will result in immediate dismissal from the course.
These policies have been instituted to foster a productive learning environment and any violation of these policies is considered grounds for permanent dismissal from class.

This professor will not excuse absences under ANY circumstance, either.

I had plenty of profs who had a 0 excuse policy for absences because students would exploit it... I also had some who didn't care if you showed up at all.

As far as the behaviour, as long as it's within the context of the class and interacting with the class, it's expected.

I have rules for my classes too but I would never be so inflexible that there can be no absences. It is not realistic because everyone gets sick or has problems and has to skip, class. Maybe i would institute a certain number of cuts.

Sounds appropriate to me. I bet he will be one of the best you have IF you submit to his ways. Teaching long time…. It’s no different than Pfizer, Halliburton, or any other Standards company. Get used to it ‼️
