Is it normal for someone to not need a resume to get a job?

I have not used a resume to get a job in like 4 years. I know many people they know me and I stick to my word and pull through what I say. Yet when I make a call I ask and sure enough its not a problem. I got from job to job make connections make calls get to know folks. Can't say now I'm making $52.73 per hour.

At the starter jobs Bojangles, Lowes, Publix etc yiu fill out their resume. There is no such thing as having your own resume to give them..
