My mom told me there are a small group of geniuses who rely on scholarships to pay their tuition and they do not ever finish college. Once they get one degree, they get two, then three, then four, then five, then six. All using scholarship income because they prefer college to working life. I had a former female friend ghost me and judge me cause she thought I was attempting to do that when she saw me in university 6 years after I was assumed to have finished school. She was volunteering as a pastor but I was just a student and she thought I was too selfish to build my own life.

Yes, I have heard of that before. I didn't think they had to be geniuses to live that lifestyle, you just keep on getting student loans until you die.

I’ve seen people get multiple degrees but never pursue a professorship. Usually it was because they were capable, but not capable enough to run the tenure track gauntlet.
