How many ladies wouldn't mind, or would enjoy, being either a full-time housewife, or a housewife with a part-time job?

I would like to have the flexibility to make different choices at different times. Obv. I, and everybody has the legal flexibility but I would also like the lifestyle flexibility. And I think I have that, my fiance makes twice as much as I make and I think will continue to do well. Right now I am putting nearly everything I make into savings which is good. But I want to switch soon to a job I find more fulfilling (probably kindergarten teacher) and then whenever I have kids I would like to take a few years off from working outside the home. Then later I would probably go back to work and part time would be a possibility then. That kind of flexibility is really a luxury that not everybody has, I will feel really grateful if I do have it. I don't mind working but it's not the #1 thing in my life and I do not think it ever will be and do not want it to be.

I can stay at home all the time since I am looking forward to be a writer and musician, all I need to have is a soundproof music studio which will be like my office. I won't need to come out unless I have a tour or concert or for publishing cases. However altogether I wish to stay all by myself in my home. No marriage, at least that's what I decided for now.

@anon1903 Same, I write thriller short stories. Working on a novel. I write several life related pieces and poems too. Currently working on manuscript for my poetry book and then I will be a published writer. I write song lyrics as well.

I was a housewife for 3-5 years. I like going to work everyday. I have a house husband!! I love it! He is really good at taking care of the house, kids, car, yard…etc…he even have time to go play…ride his bike, his dirt bike with his buddies. 😊

I wouldn't mind it. I'd be happy just having the responsibility of doing house stuff as long as I didn't feel like a burden.

Part time job and house work then some of the house work load needs to be on my partner too as it should be in a households with two full time workers.

It's not for me. I don't enjoy cleaning and cooking everyday. - I'm not sure how I feel about kids either.

Picking up socks and staying home all the time sounds like a nightmare to me. That's a future I'm scared of having.
I don't want to be dependent on my partner, and I don't like the thought that my only role would be to support a future husband. Feels like I would be a side character in the relationship in a way.

I'm not sure I view a housewife or house-husband as like inherently a secondary or a side character, but I think I can see where you're coming from in a way.

I'm 50/50, ultimately it would depend on my partner, whatever they plan. I'm equally ok with being a housewife as I am being a working one or a breadwinner.

I want to be a stay at home working mom. That way I can stay home and care for both my husband and kids, but also be able to bring in an extra paycheck to help out with extra expenses

As long as the child (ren) had daycare 2-3 days a week. Moms deserve time to recharge too. Kids are a 24/7 job.

I don't know the idea of making little to no money of my own would drive me nuts. My cooking skills are little too non. I do great with kids even though I don't have any of my own. I think I would definitely need to work on myself before agreeing to that.
