How important is work-life balance to you?

How much importance do you place on your career against your family, friends and your personal hobbies and interests at home? Is your employment a career, or just a job to you? Thank you.

Personally I like a fair balance of being committed to my work, but also making time for my family, friends and my other hobbies and interests too.

One of the 5 biggest regrets for people on their deathbed is "I wish I didn't work so hard". They missed out on milestones in their children's lives.

I live by the old saying, "work to live, don't live to work". I prefer to work enough that I can sustain my family. 30-40hrs a week. And I avoid jobs that require too much overtime.

Money is renewable. Time is a currency you can only spend once.

That's the biggest thing for me in my opinion. I like my job... a lot. But I don't want my life to revolve around work.
