When you start working long hours and taking work home with you and you start feeling tired all the time and you start neglecting your own personal things like keeping your place tidy or even your health then you know that you are putting way too much time into work. I used to be like that. But over the the past few years I have been working less , going home earlier and I rarely take home any work with me ( I keep it down to about 2 x a month now) and my stress levels have gone down a lot. I would say that if you are a white collar employee you have to guard against over-working.
the only bad work life balance i ever had was in terms of too little work. and that was quite obvious cause i was struggling financially because of it at the time xD

Achieving a good work-life balance has always been essential for me. I realized I had it when I could maintain my professional commitments without sacrificing personal fulfillment and relationships. By setting clear priorities and boundaries, I ensure that I dedicate quality time to both work and personal aspects of my life. Currently, my focus is on maintaining this balance by regularly assessing my workload and personal goals, ensuring they align harmoniously with my values and aspirations. Continual self-reflection and adjustments are key in sustaining this balance.
