If people repeatedly call you by an incorrect name that isn't your name & when you have corrected them still use it, is it rude to not answer?

The female version of my name is 100 times popular than my name. The result being, I am just fed up with some people trying to pronounce my name and ending up saying the female version.

I just listen to some people. This depends on how much time I am spending with them. If I am spending only some time, then it's okay. I would not try to correct them.

But the people I will be interacting with, need to know my correct name. I correct them repeatedly, even if it becomes irritating to them. They may even sound like taunting me, when they call out in something that may have gone south. You know, for blaming purpose or something.

It depends on the people honestly.

I wouldn't say that to not answer is rude, but it still doesn't remedy the situation.

Sometimes patient indulgence is required of us if we are to get along with each other in society.

Even if it does make you want to scream sometimes!!!

If they dont know you well its different I dint rember any ones name that I worked with that dint stay months but if you tell people you dont know at all once then exspect them to rember even after 2 times an it's no a date then its expected to just repeat
