If you work as a teaching assistant for the university you can get reduced tuition at most universities during your graduate studies. Some universities will pay 100% of your tuition. They will also give you a stipend to cover minimal living expenses. Some universities pay better than others. So technically you can get an education and work experience in exchange for teaching lower level courses/labs.

Yes it's free you get money from the government. It's not a lot though and it's hard work. It's like a poorly paid job.

You have to pay but might be able to earn back your education income by working as a TA. You will be very poor while doing that if that is your income, all you will have is food and you will not have money for a car.

Like here you get paid for doing one
