People who are/have been in security forces. Can you share some discipline rules you practice or are taught while at job?

I really believe we need that kind of discipline that is maintained in security forces. That's why I am asking this question.

The pathway to success is filled with discipline and dedication along with motivation. I need to get the first element right. The discipline.

I was not in special forces but did serve in the U. S. Navy for 22 years. There a lot of similarities in terms of discipline.

Most discipline of the type you're talking about is a choice more so than learned. You choose to do the right thing at the right time for the right reason. You're given a mission, you plan, prepare, practice and then do it. You use discipline to stick to the plan while adapting.

You asked for rules, I have some specifics that I learned, used, and still use.

1. Read the directions. Then read them again. Whether that's the instructions in a recipe, or how to fire a rocket launcher or a law in your local jurisdiction, read the instructions. Understand them.

2. Follow the rules. Very rarely are the rules there just to make life onerous. They serve a purpose. If you don't understand the rules, see #1.

3. Obey authority. Doesn't mean you like it or agree with it but if it is a lawful authority, obey it.

4. Plan. Have a plan. Follow the plan. It's okay if the plan changes. Adapt.

5. Don't stress about what you cannot change: it distracts you from your mission.

6. Know your mission. Don't waver from it.

There's more, but those are the basics. You can apply that to any area of your wife.

That is so important in so so many fields lut there! Be it management, engineering, medical, security, whatever. This one sentence hit hard.

I am feeling that. It gives you a different kind of confidence.
I was not much of an eater earlier, but now I want to be as fit as I can be. At least presentable healthy and fit.

High level of fitness and train the contingencies constantly untill they're second nature and you can do them without thinking.
