How would you respond to someone who is questioning your engagement in expanding general knowledge?

What I mean is...

... when you take the initiative to learn more and expand your general knowledge because it's fun, you like to read and work hard...

... then there comes a person and questions it suspiciously as if you are trying to act smart. Now the thing is... you know your intentions but he/she thinks otherwise... so do others lately... I am dealing with this a lot...

I'd like to bear diligent people's mind that voluntary reading/gaining knowledge doesn't still make someone a professor or an expert. It's only expanding your general knowledge. And they shall do so, only if the topic is interesting enough for them. So in other words do not force yourself into something/a topic because it makes someone highly intelligent or similar. The more you use your brain, the more and better the neurogenesis. We produce more neurons

You. Are. WORTHY🥰❤❤❤

Just imagine how your brain has more plug sockets available now to insert the cords.
