Education in general? VERY important.

Going to a college or university?

It depends on if the career you want to pursue requires it (e. g. law or medicine).

Educating yourself and learning is really important for your own personal development as well as being able to contribute to society.

It doesn’t have to necessarily be book smarts either.

If you see education in a holistic sense, then it would include personal development as well as skill development.

It’s necessary to move towards becoming the best version of your self.

And who can make a better positive impact on yourself, your significant other, your family, and your community?

A partially-developed version of yourself or a fully-developed version of yourself?

Pursuing your true potential is a worthwhile pursuit and you are able to help the people around you along the way (as long as you don’t forget your virtues and values).

On another note, so much of society’s issues and drama arise from people who lack critical thinking skills and self-awareness. Developing your mind’s ability to problem-solve and reason will serve you very well throughout your entire life.

So, I’m a big believer in educating oneself, learning, developing, growing, and improving.

As for formal education at institutions, I have mixed feelings about it. Personally I don’t believe that the debt one accrues in college is worth it unless their career requires it.

Personally, I think it's very important. I work for a teaching hospital attached to a big university. I was a student at this university and in the hospital I now work for and in a few months I'll be going to grad school here.

My education is what got me the job I have now and is what got me back into school. Without it, I wouldn't be where I'm at with the opportunities I now have.

On top on that, learning about the world around you is honestly a good thing.
