I don't know what it's like where you live, but where I live, no one wants to work. They pay $18.00 per hour at McDonald's, and half of the time they can't even open the lobby. It's drive-thru only. Don't tell the employer jack shit. If you're worried about a gap in your work timeline, just say you had to leave work to take care of your sick mother. They won't dare ask about that, because they know better than to get into medical privacy issues.
Took a break to increase knowledge although they will want to see coursework... Don't volunteer what is not asked.
