I always wanted to be a nurse and a professional singer 🤣 when I was a kid.

I wanted to be the next George Lucas.
From age 4, my thoughts were: "why tolerate bad use of tropes, when you can just get into the business yourself, and write something better?"
Since that young, I didn't like how franchises expected you to blindly like them, and not acknowledge the writers' flaws. We're here to improve ourselves and each other, not treat all franchises like they're the Bible!
Of course, this conviction, and the fact that even in preschool, I'd be willing to ignore a hundred different social games, just as long as I could finish one blasted sand castle in peace, led to me having a hard time making and keeping friends.
Dedication to only one thing at a time made me a pariah.
Wanted to be a lawyer. Now I’d like to be a dad
Thank you for MHO
I seriously dreamed of being an astronaut but I'm really bad at maths and physics. I am actually relieved now because the secrets of the universe scare me and being in space is the last thing I want to do. To be honest, I'd rather die.
Currently, I want to be a singer because I love music. I was told by a few music teachers that I had a good voice. But I know that one requires a lot of training to be an artist. I am going to sing in the shower instead of making people's ears bleed.
Thank you for the MHO!
I wanted to be doctor now i am a pre-med 🙂
With lots of pain, anxiety and depression yesss🥳
Thank you bro 🫂🥺

my childhood dreams are what gave me the drive to get out from under all the bullying and abuse and achieve them. being a soldier in a very particular unit, being a specific type of officer, having a family (not perfect but still of tremendous value to me).
i look back on my life and i see that i did make a difference. enough of it was a good difference.
now i'm navigating the "am i still relevant to anyone" question. i know i am to my daughters. that is what drives much of what i do.
my life would make an interesting "coffee table book" for a while and then it would get thrown away. but that's just the way of the world.
What I wanted to be: varies on age. From Superman when I was real little to being involved with basketball in some capacity whether that be coaching, refereeing, or I even briefly considered medicine for the purpose of becoming a sports trainer. But I ended up taking mostly business classes in college.
What do I want to be now?: Happy. I spent my 20's and 30's working at the same job, stacking paper (dead presidents). Wasn't glamorous but it paid the bills. Now I just try to keep improving my financial position. Making that first million is always the hardest.😂
when age 5, i wanted to be a civilian pilot for huge passenger jets. i failed to see the connection between that and my sensitivity to motion sickness haha. as a teen i wanted to be a religion teacher which i taught until age 30 when i left orthodox jew. now wanna "retire" haha.
At different ages I probably would have said a princess, a ballerina, a model, a scientist and a CEO. Now I am a project coordinator for a big company but I am not really into my job. I do my work but I am not staying late or pushing for more responsibility or anything, I just do it because it pays pretty well and I am saving to buy a house. I would rather be a teacher, especially with younger kids.
first 4 same as 2 of my ex-lady friends told me.
I really wanted to be a occupational therapist, but becoming disabled at 17 kind of shot that dream out the window. I can’t go to university. I have no idea what career path I want to do now, I’m just trying my best to keep myself afloat financially and health wise.
I wanted to be a teacher. My grandfather was a teacher, but that's not why. I always loved learning and thought educating others would be fun. There's so many kids that grow up poorly educated too, and I wanted to be a good teacher, one that cared about their students succeeding.
Now, I'd like to be a professional writing. Eh, well, I guess I'm getting there, kinda, sorta. I keep writing, I just haven't published.
I wanted to be so many things growing up like a teacher, doctor, cashier (LOL), model, actress, singer. Ended up doing something which is a lot of people's dream job but wasn't mine until I started doing it. Unfortunately I cannot disclose what I do as it is very confidential but I'm very happy and successful in my career.
