Do your enemies say your jobless when you have a non traditional job?

My dad works as an engineer and he is able to finish all his work in 1-4 hours most days so he spends a lot of work others on other things like shopping for things, buying groceries, arranging and managing his money, fishing or exercise, and my dad saw a neighbour today walking her dog and asked if she was still working and the neighbour said, yes I still have a job but I work at home and leave the house to run errands during work hours.

I had a friend who worked at a bank and she would chat with me online for hours and hours while she was at work.

People say I'm unemployed because I am invested in future income and not current income but eBay was worth billions and took 6 years to become profitable. After 6 years the founder was worth hundreds of millions if not billions.

Its possible to be wealthy and jobless. Jobs have several independent functions: providing an income, contributing to society, providing a sense of self worth.

Any of these can also come from other sources, but I think its good to have all of them - whatever the source

for a couple of years i had 3 part time jobs. My kids did not think I had a real job.
