I've been working for a commercial cleaning company for over a year. I think I've been a pretty good employee. I've only taken off 4 days in total, because I was sick. Anyways, there is a guy I've covered for a few times when he went on vacation. He is severely autistic, so they let him take off days often. So they gave me a key to clean that place when he's gone. I havnt had to clean it in months, and I lost my key, but im afraid to tell my boss, because I think they'd have to drive 4 hours tound trip to give me a new one. I was gonna tell my boss, but im afraid she'll get pissed off and fire me. Although it would probably be worse if I waited to tell her until I have to work there again.

There is nothing to be gained by waiting until they find out. Better to tell them now and hopefully its just a slap on the wrist. Mistakes happen, but you should probably find a better way to keep track of them.
sounds like u made one mistake. if they value you as a worker then you'll be fine. I've been a janitor for a company for about 10 years now. and I've done s**t like that and been okay cos they know how i work
If they value you then they won't fire you. There are employers that appreciate hard working and honest workers such as yourself.
