Was it wrong that I told my boss I was going to leave the job site, because I didn't have a key?

I work for a commercial cleaning company. My key to one of the buildings I clean stopped working like two weeks ago. I told my boss as soon as it happened. She said she would contact the company and see if they Could help. That was on a Friday. She said hopefully something could be done by Wednesday. I only clean that place on Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday comes, and nothings been done. I texted my boss. She didn't respond until the next day when I told her I needed more supplies. She apologized for not responding because she's three states away and was sleeping. I told her i need a new key. She said she'd she send an email to the company. We've always managed to get in because someone happned to be there, but I know we won't always be that lucky. I'm gonna need a key. So on Friday we couldn't get in because no one was there. I called my boss, and she didn't answer (like always) so i left a message and told her that we couldn't get in and we've been waiting 10 mins to see if anyone showed up so they could let us in, and I said if that doesn't happen then we are gonna just take off. I feel like maybe I shouldn't have said that, but I need a freaking key, and she doesn't seem to care, and she manages the company.
