Was I wrong to walk out of work?

I work at a daycare (for people who don't know) and today a worker decided to not come in. After having left early yesterday (didn't tell anyone she planned to but her sister who's also a worker). Also didn't let anyone know today besides her sister. Meaning I get stuff with our class by myself. Which is 6 babies. And another teacher came in and immediately said she had to leave at 10 to get her daughter from work and to see her AC man. But this worker also left Monday to see someone. And didn't come n Tuesday, Wednesday or yesterday so why the fuck didn't she do that one of those days? So when she left I had to also take her class of 7 toddlers. So I had 2 change all 13 kids, feed them lunch and put them all to bed while all are screaming because I had to put them in seats so the bigger kids wouldn't hurt the little ones. So everyone was cranky. So I got mad and told the director that when one of those two workers got back I'm leaving. So now everyone is mad at me. But I feel like I did nothing wrong, that they're the one's who keep taking advantage of me and I was sticking up for myself
