Are blue collar workers less smart?

Than white collar worker
There might be a small difference in aggregate, but you would find that lots of blue collar workers are extremely smart, have amazing problem-solving skills, many use advanced math on a daily basis, and have far more practical, real-world skills.
Lots of blue-collar workers simply don't want office jobs where they sit at a desk 45 hours a week for 40 years. But if you think you don't have to be smart to, say, keep the electrical grid running, or build a modern house that is code-compliant AND satisfies the customer, then you don't know much about those (and many other industries).
When I was 5, I was the ring bearer for a couple who were good friends of my parents. The man was a welder and not long after they married in 1975, he started his own company and she ran the office. Sadly, both developed cancer. He died in 2017 and her in 2020. Their children inherited 96 million dollars and the company. Not bad for a dumb welder, right?
Most people who met him would have never guessed that he was worth that, because he never acted superior, never flaunted his wealth, and rarely wore anything but jeans and a T-shirt. But they took lots of vacations and lived in paid-off houses and drove paid-off cars. Neither went to college, but they built an empire together.
Yes. But it doesn't matter as their brains are not their strong point anyway. Blue collar jobs are more physical.
I wouldn't let an idiot wire my house but I would let one file paper.

On average? Maybe. But that doesn't matter as we only deal with one person at a time.
I don’t think so they can build things with their hands they know a lot that the average person wouldn’t even begin to deal with
Only in the sense that they're willing to do more manual work for less pay. Otherwise, no.
no, not at all.
