Do you ever think about the advantages you have?

When I was in school, I was shocked every day at how lucky I was, to have access to computers and butter chicken and movies and school performances when people in other countries had so little. It was like I had died on gone to heaven. I loved my university experience beyond all comprehension.

When I was in grad school I was so poor that I lived off of one burrito per day, had holes in my clothes, and lived in an attic without heat. Eventually, teaching and research stipends helped me get enough food. But I am informed I am unfairly advantaged due to white privilege. Go figure.

Not really in school but in life yes I'm very glad to have what I do and love in the time I do.

The area was amazing and so lucky but others are not and often times abuse what they have and do drugs when ends them mentally and eventually physically

Advantages, no.. I dont call them that. Everything I have in my life is due to choices I made for myself. If I wanted to be a millionaire, I could, however the road leading to that is just too draining and not something I want for myself.
