Yes! I had a coworker that was hired for the soul reason of being gay. He had no qualifications and could not handle the workload but he was hired because the store was accused of not being inclusive to lgbtq.

This was fast food (not super hard keep in mind) he would hide in the back office or fridge areas to avoid doing work. On his frequent breaks ( which he refused to clock out for even through it was store policy) he would paint his nails. And *best* of all he would take food off of customers trays. Or ask for half their sandwich! And they would give it to him! And nobody complained!

still baffles me to this day!

i ended up leaving before he did so I don't know what happened to him. His sister was hired shortly before I left and she had many of his habits.

Of course. There are some people I work with getting paid more to do less and it infuriates me.
