Do you think confidence is a huge factor in success?

I almost gave up on my book project because I was concerned the quality of my writing might not be advanced enough to make high sales but after reviewing my writing today I realized it was very good. I have around 300 pages or so that I'm trying to cut down to 90 pages of jot notes and then turning those 90 pages of jot notes into a 180 - 330 page book. I also plan on self publishing and getting my millionaire cousins to loan me money for a lawyer. I could pay them back at 30% interest.

Motivation definitely. You need a drive to push forward. I think confidence will help too

I'd say yes but it's also important where your confidence comes from, it must have a solid base rather than being baseless, I think confidence must come from within. I believe if you can get both your soul and mind together it will be much easier for you to be confident and achieve things you want. Good luck with your book

YES! Not only huge, but the most important thing! Don't get overconfident, know your strength and your weaknesses, don't give up on learning and seek perfection. You should watch the movie "Catch me if you can" - it's all about confidence.
