Is taking child/education support money from father allowed in Christianity?

So, my father used to beat so much and he did very cruel things to me and my mom when I was a little kid, than they broke up and he paid child support for a while and now it's the first year I will start going to university, and I can take education support from my father, however he told me he would financially support me during my education but the thing is he 9/10 times lied to me for every single thing before. What shall I do? if I trust him and he lies then I will have pretty much hardships financially, if I don't and go to judge and take education support from him then I won't but I am concerned that if it's the right thing to do? He, also didn't even support my education nor gave a penny while I was preparing for the uni. entrance exams.

I would take whatever I could and never feel obligated about anything. Sounds like he was pretty much a deadbeat loser abuser. Unless of course you can't deal with having any indebtedness type feelings or connection, then you might not want anything from him. The way I see it, he owes you and you owe him nothing.

Don't depend on him, but there's nothing wrong with accepting money from him. The bible does say a man who doesn't provide for his family is worse than a heathen, so he definitely owes for what he's failed I'm the past.
