That's not how that would actually work.

If you were to receive a draft notice, you would be required to undergo both an academic and medical test to see what jobs across all branches you are eligible for. Because it is a conscription, you most likely would not even have a say in which branch it is, and you may or may not be able to choose between a few options. Here's the real snag for someone with your mindset though: ALL USSSOCOM related jobs are full on their own, and have so many volunteers trying out for them that especially the Rangers and SEALs are having to cut people who make it through selection because they don't need them. When you add draftees to the mix, they all see you as a waste of time, and frankly if we're in a situation in which we need conscripts, units that need additional months to over a year to train one recruit become very unimportant.

There's also about a 100% chance that San Diego would be glassed off the face of the earth in nuclear fire so that's about the last place you'd want to be anyway.

I'd probably go for the cook. I'm currently a marine. I had an uncle who did five tours in iraq and Afghanistan as a cook. He spent his down time f*cking the female personel on the bases, most of them married. A lot of them were like mega whores doing 5 guys in a single day. My uncle had to take a dna test because one married air woman 3/4 into her ended up getting pregnant and couldn't pass it off as her husband's baby. Apparently there were 20 other guys from that base with paternity cases to establish paternity for child support.

My dad's a Navy SEAL officer, and that program is VERY tough to get through, a very small percentage of guys that enter the training actually finish it. If that's your goal, be sure to get in the best physical and mental condition as you're able to, because you'll be tested like you've never been tested before. If you're at all interested in Aviation, the Armed Services are likely the best place to train for that, and provide the best recommendation for a job in the Airlines.
