Being less than perfect eye sight, so I couldn't be a fighter pilot,, forget the Navy or Air Force. Not going to get down and crawl around in the mud like the Army. And while I respect the Marines,,, I think that they are a little bit conceited.
So that leaves the Coast Guard. Which I would much rather prefer. The other branches are pretty much strictly offensive as far as war. The Coast Guard? They are pretty much restricted to being strictly Law Enforcement. That's why other than the possibly the Marines, they are the hardest branch to get into.
Army, Navy, Air Force,, hell they will take you if you have a criminal record to some extent. The Army being the most relaxed.
The Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy,,, they deal with outside threats that are of violent nature approaching the US and that is even outside of the boundaries of the US.
The Coast Guard,, they don't deal with military threats to the US. But they deal with border patrol, smuggling and also safety and rescue. And that's what I'm about.
Now mind you,, my grandfather went through paratrooper school. To get his wings he had to make a jump out of a Army helicopter a day for 5 days. On the evening of the 4th day, he had all of bunk mates constantly put ice bags on his ankle. Just so he could make that 5th jump and get his wings. And he did it. Turned out when he landed on that 4th jump he broke his ankle. And many years ago, he set the record that stands to this day,,, the oldest man to go through paratrooper qualifications to jump out of a helicopter at the age of 62. This being after he had a heart attack.
So I have great respect for anyone who joins the military and doesn't chicken out after a few weeks or even a few years.

Depends on what you want out of it.
I'd go crazy on a submarine and I don't have the education to be an officer or pilot.
If I could magically pick one an have it. I'd say I wanted to be on the 160th flying a helo. Thot it was badass. Of in army SF their culture resonates with me and out of all the sof groups that is where I could see myself.
I'd pick army as a branch because I wanted to fight as a grunt but have the loose kind of pencil work the marines don't have to get an mos easier.
Coast guard is the hardest branch to get into... well maybe second to space force now.
Whichever is least likely to leave the base and least likely to enter the battlefield. Assuming national guard? But i was recruited to be a marine once. Not for me
My hubby is army so I guess I'd pick that so we could easily move around together and get to experience the same things

Right now, none of them. I went Army back in 2014 and at the time I would do that again. If I absolutely had to choose today, I would probably go Space Force because there's more of an opportunity to actually shape it over the span of a career since it's new and growing into its shoes. DoD leadership has been taking a significant downturn though, and it's a major reason why I didn't stay in the first place.
Air Force seems like the best. Better pay, better treatment. Good equipment and training, and less of the "cannon fodder" mentality. It's more of a "work smarter, not harder" branch, or at least that's how it seems. Not to say you couldn't work really hard and do well and/or shoot for Special Tactics or officer positions.
Space Force... I already worked with them when they were part of the Air Force. I worked right across the street from their HQ.
https://www.losangeles.spaceforce.mil/About-Us/I'm pretty decent with tech and mechanical stuff but not in good enough shape anymore to be doing a crap ton of PT so I suppose Air Force. They treat their people the best. I have a cousin who was with them for 13 years as a respiratory therapist and he lived very well off especially once he got up to his rank before being medically discharged
I'm already a weekend warrior, Army National Guard. I could go Regular Army if I apply. If I wanted to make the military a career I'd choose Army because there are more opportunities for specialties and assignments.
As an officer: Navy, Air Force, or Space Force.
As enlisted: Air Force, Space Force or Coast Guard.
The Coast Guard, which is the smallest of the uniform services, is the most difficult branch to gain entry. As I was in the Royal Air Force for most of my life, it would be remiss of me to say anything other than Air Force.
coast guard ! becuase of a song !!!
"I went down to the Coast Guard to see what they're guarding
'See what the sign says, you idiot, we're guarding the coast'"
uwuwuuwuwuu (^▽^)i was in the army, if you want to enlist, what are your reasons, if it is to learn a skill find out which branch is best at that skill. if it is to see the world if you go on a boat you will only see a lot of water and port cities, coast guard rarely leave the states,
Navy STFI: TOPGUN. Highway to the danger zone! I have the need... for speed!
https://www.youtube.com/embed/kUsFWO08CO0Air Force as a programmer/engineer, I suppose.
I wouldn't be fit for actually going into war and my skills would be too valuable to be wasted like that, so I would likely be assigned to something like that. The Space Force would be my top pick. I always wanted to be in the USAF, but I think I would have fit better in the Navy.
Navy. Almost joined to get into naval aviation. I wish I had gone for it.
I'd do coast guard. I don't like the wars. Plus that movie with Ashton Kutcher was good XD
I wanted to join the marines like my grandfather back in Vietnam. But unfortunately due to the severity pr my depression and anxiety I can't enter the military at all.
Coast guard you don't go to war. Marines and you might get embassy duty which is a good gig. Otherwise I'm ambivalent about the others. They are all better if you have a college education
O the chair force would be if I had to go back… that being said army is fucking fun
I wanted to go for army but I couldn't because I am short. I'm 5'1.
The Space Force I guess.
Its a branch under the air force, so they probably aren't treated as bad as the marines. 😂Space force or army. Though I wouldn't mind being a drone pilot if I went air force. I would get sea sick in the navy, coastguard, or marines.
