Well I used to be at workaholic until. I kind of became a caretaker
But it was always smarter I have the ability to see things as they're playing out and I would always think of a better way faster way quicker way and that's the reason why people would hire me
They would tell me their vision and I could see it and I would say okay that's cool but what about this and this and this and they would usually agree with me and say yes let's do it that way.
Now being a caretaker I use the same philosophy a lot of people tell me that I need to put the person I care for in a home and there's just no way I could do that to the person there's just no way in this world and they tell me all the scenarios that I'm going to go through and it's going to make me crazy
And I say well you don't know me I don't give up on anybody or anything and I will find the way to make it the best way possible
It doesn't matter what we do in life as long as we do it to the best of our ability
Workwise a lot of people are just there to collect that paycheck
I was always there to write my name on it because I don't like working for other people and I always had many many side jobs because of the way I worked.
I prefer physical work over intellectual. If I get pissed off with a rock it's rare that I get into trouble for blowing it up, for example. It's a preference, not a necessity. I've spent most of the last 33 years in less physical employment and I'm sick of it. Especially if I have incompetent management to deal with. I've never left a job because of the work - only the way I was treated with one exception when I had to resign on health grounds. I have incredibly low tolerance for bullshit and zero for bullies.
If there's an easier way to do something physical I'll find it though. I can get more done that way, but at the end of the day there's only so many ways to dig a hole or cut down a tree. I'll find the most efficient use of my time. Right now, burning off stress by physical effort is pretty efficient.
I prefer working smarter, but how things are now - I need to do both as it is.
I work too hard , that it’s almost stupid cuz the results don’t always show

both... I've needed both at different points but working smarter is definitely the end goal..
took me some years of hard work and then some more... to get to this point today, and which I can relax a bit more and do it the smarter way
and by that I mean, delegating more to others that are as capable as we need them to be (one of the smartest things to do while in business is to find the truly capable partners you can trust) so I can work a lot less hours and have more time to also enjoy life and the other things (and the people) in my life
Work hard... yep that " WAS " the one..
Until my brain went in total shut down. Hard time remember things. Angry and sad..
Result : Major Burn Out at the age of 35 😱
Now i'm doing things i like and when i like to do them... No control from the " TOP " any more. I became a better version of my self.
As of me I always say work SMARTER Not HARDER & as they say many hand make light work however too many cooks spoil the gravy.
Well... how to explain this. I'm the kind of guy who would work hard on trying to find a smarter solution 🤣.
Basically if others are doing something manually and can be automated (refering to IT domain only), then I'll spend more effort into automating the task (which sometimes is a waste of time and effort for a petty task)
Both, sometimes I can work smart and avoid working hard but still get the same amount of stuff done and other times you just need good old fashioned hard work to get stuff done.
There's a place for both lines of thinking at every work place.
I "retired" this year. I'd say for a guy that started off slinging drinks in dive bar in NYC I worked smarter.
I work as hard as necessary to accomplish the most important task of all -- pleasing the superior female. Generally speaking, however, I prefer inspiration over perspiration;)
Work in progress. The older I get the smarter I work.
”necessity is the mother of invention”. Because I cannot move the weight I could when I was younger, now I use straps and back braces and lift carts..
I do both. I work in the most efficient manner but I don't stop working to get the most work done in a day
On Here, For Example a Sample, Smarter. Giving my All. xxoo
I think job of a prostitute is very hard so yea I work quite hard
Smarter allows one to finish work in a reasonable amount of hours in a salaried job.
I think we need both
Being smart can make the path less complicated and maybe easier but you have to work hard and move ahead and there's no substitute to that
I always try to work smarter as in all my time I have learned a few things
I tend to work smarter than harder where I can, but, certain jobs require physical effort and no amount of thinking is gonna make it easier.
Depends on what it is. Sometimes you got to work hard to get to your goal.
work smarter! don't waste energy if you can avoid it!
I work "harder" in bed smarter outside the bedroom heh :P
By nature, I'm a lazy person (or so people say) but I get all my work done on time without relying on anyone else.
My job is more about figuring out how to be the most efficient. If your not efficient you just wear yourself out.
