Sometimes. Recently contending with layoffs at my company multiple times a year for last 6 years has been making it less likely to have the energy to.

Was hired to do one job and now I have 3.5 jobs for the same pay, and I'm supposed to be happy about it. I just hunker down and do my best but I'm exhausted from traveling and taking flights, and being asked to deal with every situation like it's the end of the world lol.

Everything can't be a fire drill. So sometimes I do work better under pressure because I am too stubborn to fail, but I have noticed symptoms of burnout over the past several years. I am running out of steam with the quiet promotion I was given without extra compensation. I'm thankful I am paid well, but they're talking advantage of the folks who are high producing, high value employees.

Is the grass greener elsewhere? Trying to find out just haven't seen anything that's worth leaving for.

When I was an administrative assistant working with highly educated people, I noticed that they all thrived under pressure.

I finally had to pull their reigns in and say "Woh Nelly, slow down".

They would give me a project to do 15 minutes before I was supposed to leave for the day, want me to hurry so I could drive down to the airport in time to put the completed project on the last FedX flight that night. To me, that was insane. I don't get a rush working under pressure like that.

Then I would still have to drive 25 miles to finally get home 🏠 to my son, then hurry up to cook dinner for him.

yes, definitely... working under pressure keeps me way more focused and it makes way more efficient... and also, that's kind of my job in a way

funny... how, when I am upset I can type much more faster, as if I were possessed... lol
