Is embarrassing not to have a drive license at 20?

I live in middle of no where and there’s no transportation services at all
So basically i can’t go anywhere unless I have a car.
A problem is I don’t a driver license and my dad is too lazy to teach me how to drive.
Most people I know, they all have a drivers license, have a normal life and not stuck at home.
I feel so embarrassed not having a drivers license. I feel like people will see people who don’t have the their drivers licenses as losers.
I want to know if is it a super big deal to get a license and if really not having a drivers license makes it a loser.

Yeah I do have a permit for a long time but I don’t have anybody teach me to drive

I'm 36 & I don't drive.

Cars are expensive & you have to pay for petrol, repairs etc

I'm fortunate for public transport, I work with some 20 year olds who don't drive

Can you get a driving instructor if it still bothers you?

I didn't get my licence until my mid 20's. I've seen people in my area who are just learning to drive in their 30's my sister was in her 40's before she learnt to drive and got her licence

Maybe look into lessons with a driving instructor

I'd say mid 20s is when it starts getting embarrassing. Take classes if your dad won't teach you. Think about the freedom you will have after getting your license.

Not embarrassing but it might be an inconvenience. I didn't get a full licence until I was 21. My next problem was that I didn't have a car.

Nope, my sister didn't get hers until her late 20s.

i taught my daughter at 14, then to help her took her to Safeway driving school
