I don't know about you, but city people always delay theirs because of city transport.
I've noticed real small-town people who have all their living essentials within a five-mile radius, wouldn't need one exactly either, and may drive illegally within there, or not drive at all. They could possibly travel drastically out of state by flight, or other international transport.
Stop thinking it reflects your capabilities/priorities/or responsibilities
I'm sure it was just logically unnecessary if it was allowed to be put off.
If you want one now, you can still get one. I know a 60-year-old working on theirs for a job lol
Just attempt a permit if you want, and I'm sure you could knock out the people, over at the SOS/ DMV right out of their seats :)

+1 yCause you don't have driving license at 30? You answered your own question lol Anyway it's fine, my coworker is in her mid 30s and has never gotten her license or drove before cause she grew up taking subways and taxis. When she she moved she came to a state that relies more on driving but she never adapted. Driving is just to scary for her and honestly I don't blame her, I drive but I personally don't like it. If I could have someone drop me off work everyday instead if driving I would totally take it. If you have someone doing that for you, then you're lucky. If not and you can rely on anyone to get around, then definitely get your license.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yWell, I do not care if you have one or not, but that is financial suicide unless you live somewhere like NYC or something like that. So I assume you live in NYC; you have a boyfriend who takes care of you. Or with your parents. If not, then maybe you have a disability.
Even if you have a lot of money, those Uber rides will add up. I have money, but I work from home 2 hours a day. I still drive because I like having extra money to invest.

I just believe in getting a DL, till after being pulled over so many times. That the judge said get a DL in 6 months or your going to prison for 2 years.
The judge said I'm tired of playing with your ass. Get it or prison you go

Don’t feel bad. I was 33 when I got mine. I had anxiety about driving for so long, I just never really wanted to learn. That and my man drove whenever we’d go anywhere and didn’t mind. That was until our schedules conflicted and I had two jobs to get it. Then I had to learn. 😆 But just think, many people in NYC never learn to drive or get their license because they take public transportation.
00 Reply3.5K opinions shared on Education & Career topic. Don;t be ashamed. Make a plan to get it. Get somebody to teach you or go to driving school. get the manual, study it and pass the test. No more excuses.
10 ReplyBecause being a nearly middleaged adult who still has to depend on others to get around is embarrassing.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 ybecause you're not independent. you can't drive yourself anywhere. you always have to ask someone for a ride, which can be inconvenient for both parties. if there's an emergency, welp... you're stuck.

Opinion Owner+1 yi'm assuming you live in a city where cars are the main transportation.
Social comparison. It's a box to tick. I can't drive, despite having a license, never really used it. Feel ashamed too. Especially as a guy it sucks.
00 ReplyOnly you can answer that. Are you comfortable not having one? Do you need one? If you have no problem taking BMW = bus, metro, walk, then you should not he ashamed. There's already too many cars in the road. if anything your doing more good.

00 Reply I used to have one in 2006, but lost it due to not going through the second phase.
I dont need a car of my own. I dont need a plane of my own. I just get a ticket when I need one.00 ReplyNo idea why you would be. My grandmother never go one. If you live close enough to everything then having a car can be seen as just an expensive status symbol.
