Why do people have affairs?

A manager in my department is having an affair with someone in another department. its so disrespectful and talk about shitting on your own door step.

Like Bethany said, affairs always seem to happen at work. I believe it’s about accessibility, because these people are seeing each other at some point almost every day (all day for some), and have plenty of time to build explore a connection. When someone is at school, work, etc, that is where their partner naturally expects them to be during certain times, so there’s no suspicion unless it’s like blatant actions. It’s very selfish for people to cheat, rather than leave the person so they can both be free. There’s always some reason a cheater had no other choice, like divorce being messy, shared home, kids involved, when in reality those are just excuses to victimize themselves.

There are certainly many reasons. One may be an unsatisfying sexual relationship. Such as not enough or not the right kind of sex.
