So I work in an office. I have two other people on my team but one left for a new job so now it is just me and my colleague. My colleague is not stepping up to take on the work and she is not trying to help. She is on her phone all day and she asks the same question every day. She is really testing my patience. She left 15 mins early the other day as she snook out when the manager was in a meeting. I told the manager on her. Was I right to do this?

Duuuude that sucks your team member is slacking so hard. It's not cool that she's leaving you to pick up all the slack while she phones it in.
On one hand, I get why you snitched - you're stressed doing both your work and covering for her. That's unfair to keep having to carry her weight.
But at the same time, ratting on her like that could come back to bite you. She may get pissed and start drama. And managers don't always like tattling employees.
Maybe you could have tried talking to her first to get on the same page before bringing in the big guns? Like "hey we're a team, can you help out more instead of rushing out early all the time?" Give her a chance to step it up willingly.
Just be careful with the manager now - don't come off whiny complaining all the time either ya know? Keep your head down and do your own shit well. If she keeps slacking they'll see that for themselves eventually without you having to say more.
Tough situation for sure. Just cover your ass and hopefully it works out!
I would have stayed out of it, because her boss would figure things out sooner or later.
