this question is designed to figure out how you would resolve a situation that is improbable but also has both negative and positive outcomes based on how you resolve it. for example you could say "I would kill the elephant and harvest its tusks, trunk and meat and sell them as ivory is worth a fantastic price the trunk is a delicacy in many parts of the world and the meat I would sell to fancy restaurants according to reports from elephant hunters it is delicious. as for the bones I would grind those into a powder and sell the powder to various gardening places." this would show you are financially oriented. you could inversely say something like "i would rent a large area for the elephant to live and I would get food for it and pay to have experts make sure it stays healthy so it can live out its days in peace. you also have "I would train the elephant to do tricks and join a circus making money with my elephant." (silly) there is the "i would abandon it to die a slow and painful death due to starvation as I am not allowed to sell or give it away" (cruel) and the "I would clad the elephant in kevlar armor and rob banks with my bullet proof behemoth of an animal" (violent) and of course "I would bring the elephant back to Africa and introduce it to other elephants until it is accepted back onto the Sahara and then come home" (humane)
i interpreted selling parts violated rule cannot sell?
@strateguy632 it can be interpreted that way most hiring folks would see it for financial gain which in and of itself is not a great thing. the fact it violates laws is more a secondary trait than a primary one
Wow hahah... Interesting and funny question lol.
I'd keep the elephant then lol 😂
Unless it's a job taking care of elephants, I would assume the job is equally ridiculous and walk out.
"I would teach it to sit on people who ask stupid questions."

I would ask for a raise and upfront money. Cause I would need a truck and trailer to transport the elephant to and from the vets. Then I would need to build a shelter and buy feed for it! Maybe even move account of elephants not being allowed in my neighborhood.
They would probably change their mind because they couldnβt afford me and their elephant.
I can't give it away but I can rent it out. I'd find the best zoo or animal game farm and have them pay me $1 per year to rent the elephant to them. Included in the rental would be a semi-annual personal visit by me to ensure the elephant is well cared for.
Can't give it away or sell it and I would never kill an elephant either, so I guess I'll befriend it and maybe train it kindly and use it to more money. Maybe charge a rental fee to use for kids birthday parties and play with them or something. It wouldn't be a bad side hustle.
You can't give it away or sell it. But it doesn't say you can't rent it out for parties an whatnot. And considering it's for a job application they're probably looking for you to find a way to turn a negative into a positive. Feeding the telephone alone would be costly. You'd need to find a way to make the elephant pay for it's upkeep. And possibly make extra on the side.
i would definitely write that i would certainly kill it. but the answer "set it free" is better.
That it sucks they canβt dress how they like and instead have to deal with creepers and control freaks
Ride it to work. I don't NEED a parking space; my car comes to work WITH ME. Who's going to tell me I can't? I have an elephant!
That's probably not the answer they're looking for, though.
i would want extra money and a place to keep it.
I would definitely overthink this and feel like it was a trick question to gauge something about me.. Lmao..
I would sell elephant rides at all the county fairs and rent it out for kids birthday parties.
I wanna know what you are applying for 😂
I'd avoid traffic with my elephant 🙂
Feed him/her/them some bananas🍌 and take rides around the city
Keep Elephant and use the poo to fertilize my rhubarb!!!
Decline the 'gift' as not having sufficient proper resources to care for that life form~ ;)
As an answer is required, I might state:
'' I'll bring it with me to my new work place ''
they certainly don't want a worker who would do or suggest that. r. o. f. l.
@strateguy632 ... so why do they want me to have an elephant?
" I might consider a better job if I'm going to provide proper care for this elephant"
Perhaps they would think I'm responsible lol
I'd sell rides on the elephant. or ride it into war. One of the two.
I would donate it to the ZOO :D
that would violated rule can't give.
@strateguy632 It's a matter of words. Donating is not just "giving" :D
But it's just an example. You don't have to stick to the rules. You have to be able to defend your opinion logically inside the frame.
You still can transfer the elephant to the zoo, as it will have the best possible env there :D whatever :D
@strateguy632 you just can't give them the upper hand. Such questions must be answered on your conditions, inside their framework
Give it away to an appropriate animal sanctuary.
If you can't give it away, then sell it for $1 to the animal sanctuary and then donate that dollar back to the animal sanctuary. Thus, I gave the elephant away without giving it away in the technical sense... I gave away the money that I received for it back to the same people who gave that money to buy the elephant.
I would raise it as my own.
They are screening for replicants.
"Walk it. Just... let it walk."
Turn it loose!
superb opinion, i say!
Lol what job is it for?
I'd keep it as a pet
I would use it as my transportation
No way
