Can you make yourself smarter with training or mindful thinking or nutrition or healthy habits?

Somebody posted online that if you study immediately after a physical work out, it will make you smarter. I know people who went from severely brain damaged after accidents to very above average within 20 years. My friend in high school had a brain tumour in child hood and became a pharmacist and taught pharmacy at the University of Toronto. In high school she was the top student in her entire grade. Her brother had a speech therapist for years as a kid cause he could not speak properly and now is almost 7 feet tall and gets above 98% in actuarial science at the University of Waterloo.
