Which Law field do you find the most interesting?

I like Intellectual Property Law the most and if I get back into the Law School, I’ll focus on it.

Much of my career was spent doing personal injury/wrongful death/products liability/medical malpractice litigation, and it was challenging and enjoyable. About half of my career was spent doing general practice and it was much more interesting than I originally anticipated. Any area of law can be interesting and challenging if your attitude is to be the very best that you can be in that area. I have gotten satisfaction from helping clients with estate planning, and I have also found satisfaction in divorce cases (because I looked for ways to help people to learn to let go, be civil, and not keep fighting in court.)

Having worked intimately in "international criminal law" and "law of land warfare"... i'd say definitely neither of those. Tax law could be useful. Interesting... maybe not so much there. I think there's a lot to be said about when private actors engage in quasigovernmental functions -- when To Catch a Predator does a sting, or when Elon Musk provides material support to one side of an armed conflict the U. S. arguably has a vested interest in securing a win for one side over the other, but doesn't want to get involved, or when the "Don't F With Cats" people do the Good Lord's work...

I can't choose just one 😅 My top 5 are Human Rights Law, Family Law, Labour Law, Criminal Law and Constitutional Law.

Ooo. I agree that intellectual property law would be interesting. As someone who intends to build a business around original ideas and creative content, that would fall right in line with the kind of legal advice I’d need to familiarize myself in the future. 🙂

Property law should be a good move career wise , I worked with many over the years and they aligned themselves with the big players / developers.

Without having any experience as an attorney or judge, it’s hard to say. I’ve been selected for jury duty twice and interviewed on a selection panel once.

I heard that each case is a lot of research and paperwork. So maybe health or contract law. One that has more arguing and less paperwork.
