I never see it in K-12 schools. Most teachers tell me they would never teach it because they fear backlash. I've seen it in colleges, but that's your money and your choice to study whatever you want. Or if you have to take it, it's pretty straightforward; just take the class and pass. I didn't major in it; I just took it as an elective.
It wasn't like how people were online describing it. It didn't make me hate myself for being or anything. I just took it to fill my writing insensitive requirement and that, and that's it. I think people in the media and online just over-exaggerate everything for political reasons.
Politics stuff I don't care about.
based on your reason pay so should not indoctrinate kids.
I don't like the idea because it puts an emphasis on race when there shouldn't be. That being said, I'm far more concerned with the integration of God - especially in the South.
No, but hell no! What good is going to be for people to study that? What kind of job can they get in the real world from studying CRT in school. Maybe get a degree in CRT and become a teacher of CRT MAYBE?
What good will it do? It will just stir up shit in America and more protest's blah blah blah
Pass the ketchup...

Yes, as long as it's taught in post-secondary schools (colleges). The good news is, here in the United States of America, it's solely taught in colleges. As a matter of fact, it's rarely (if ever) offered in undergraduate classes. It's mainly a class for students pursuing a Master's Degree, and/or Doctorate Degree.
I'm not concerned with the radical left indoctrinating U. S. Schools because the USA is a conservative-learning country, and a small percentage of our population can be classified as being radically left-wing. Of course, I don't want any malicious intentional indoctrinating in schools to come from any political viewpoint, and/or religious viewpoint.
This whole discussion about CRT is rage-bait. It's a non-issue.
@EnglishArtsteacher You are the "enemies domestic".
They still teach ot kids just not at the college level. Your argument is like saying they don't teach math in schools because the elementary school kids don't learn calculus.
@DextroShade good comeback line! a neat parallel.
@DextroShade Except in this case, there is no elementary school, middle school, or high school equivalent to CRT (unlike different types of math).
It's objectively not being taught at all in our K-12 System.
Queue up the leftists who will claim that CRT isn’t being taught unless the kids are reading Crenshaw, et al. Typical “playing the hatchling,” lol. The problem isn’t people being explicitly taught CRT. The problem is the cultural subversion being promulgated through every important institution as advocated by CRT.
That race affects public policy and society? It’s simply a fact. Not talking about race in school is like doing math without ‘0’s. Formally teaching something as ridiculously scary sounding as ‘Critical Race Theory’ is unnecessary, undermines the issue, and is more appropriate to university.
really? but when i and we were in school we did not learn it, was that "math without zero"? of course that is not needed.
Um, did you learn about civil rights, the constitution, or slavery in school?
Kind of yeah. A lot of mandatory stuff like critical race theory that they are teaching in schools and college have no basis in reality and no use in the real world.
Absolutely not!! It's a complete waste of time and nothing more than brainwashing!! Kids are in school to learn IMPORTANT shit, most of which is no longer being taught!!
CRT is just another form of racism like nazism and has no place in schools.
Why not teach something practical like real world finance instead? I'm at the point where I think either school choice or the abolition of public schools is warranted.
Do you believe Critical Race Theory is being taught in your schools? Why?
It is being taught in schools, but it's only in college, not the Kindergarten-12th Grade system.
It's just a non-issue the right-wing media made up in their heads.
@EnglishArtsteacher I keep forgetting Americans refer to universities as schools. In Germany and the UK, pretty much everybody has finished school by 18.
It's a deliberate political ploy by the right (Chris Rufo in this particular case). Find a scary sounding name, hammer on about it day and night for months to associate it with basically anything the right doesn't like (generally empathy, they hate having kids taught empathy, empathy and critical thinking), then when schools start using it as shorthand for what the right is upset about, point and claim that the schools were, like, totally teaching CRT all the time.
They've done the same with "woke". I'm sure there are other examples. The demand that nobody admit that LGBT+ people exist is similar, but without a single name.
It should stay in colleges where it originated. It’s an advanced curriculum.
Yeah
