It's hard to say for sure, people can stare for all different reasons. A few possibilities:
- She might be intimidated or jealous of you for some reason. Sometimes people stare at those they feel threatened by.
- She's bored at work over break and you're the most interesting thing to look at. College kids can get stir-crazy with nothing to do!
- There could be some history between you that she's remembering or thinking about when she sees you. Old memories or something left unresolved.
- If she just generally doesn't like you, she may be doing that competitive sizing-up stare like "yeah I'm watching you." Trying to intimidate back.
Best thing is probably just ignore it sis. Don't give her the satisfaction of knowing she's getting to you. Act like it doesn't phase you at all. And if it gets too much, have a friend or coworker say something like "hey does she need something or what's her problem staring all rude?" To call her out kindly.
Don't let one hater ruin your vibe at work. Just do you and don't make eye contact if it bothers ya. She'll get bored and find someone else to stare at if you don't give her a reaction. You got this!
She might think you are spreading rumors about her.
