How do I stop being insecure about my uni course because it has limited career perspectives? How do I stop being insecure about my past?

I find if you put in the effort, almost any major can be turned into a career. An example is that Steve Jobs took calligraphy classes in university and after dropping out he used the lessons he learned in that class to generate letters for Apple and he ended up with billions from a calligraphy class that people might think is useless. A billionaire said you don't make big money by doing big things in a normal way, you make big money by doing normal things in a big way. My cousin was good at both STEM and English and , so she gave up her Wall Street job to work a tutoring business. People thought she was psycho at the time even if they did not say it to her face, but now she makes more from her business then she did from her old job where she managed 7 hedge fund traders. Of course that's cause she built a hierarchy and has employees working under her. One person cannot generate that much cash per hour but one person managing many others can generate that type of money per hour.

It is not so much the subject you have chosen. It is more the fact you can start something and see it through to the end. You are capable of getting the right results.

As for your past, not much can be done. Put it behind you and move on. Don't look back for it. Leavecit behind.

Man, I've been there bro. Comparing myself to other dudes and stressing about the future is easy. But you gotta remember a few things:

1. You picked your course because you're interested in it. Keep your grades up and that's what matters most right now.

2. Tons of people end up in careers not directly related to their major. Just focus on learning useful skills you can apply anywhere.

3. Lots of pathways open up if you stay on top of internships, clubs, networking. Keep an open mind - options may surprise you.

4. Your worth isn't defined by your career. Chase your passions cause that's what really makes you happy, not some job title.

5. Everyone has stuff in their past they wish was different. But you're growing from experiences, so keep your head up!

Try not to sweat the small stuff. Surround yourself with people who support you. And believe in yourself cause you've got this, bro! One day at a time.
