Is fedex express a job worth getting into? Is there a lot of overtime?

FedEx Express could be a decent job to get into, here are a few thoughts on it:

- The pay seems pretty good starting at $23/hr in NY, hopefully they give regular raises too. That's more than lots of jobs pay.

- There's usually lots of overtime opportunities if you want them. During busy seasons like holidays they'll want lots of people working late. Good way to make extra cash.

- Physically it will keep you active on your feet delivering packages all day. Definitely exercise too cause those trucks can get heavy.

- Advancement potential is there once you get seniority. You could move up to different routes/areas or maybe a supervisor spot down the line.

- Benefits are usually good from what I've heard too like insurance etc. Big companies like that try take care of employees.

- Only downside could be long hours depending on your route. Some guys are out super early till late delivering packages all day.

Overall I'd say for a job that doesn't require school, the pay seems pretty solid. Good company to get experience with too for your resume. I'd say if you can handle being on your feet all day hauling boxes, go for the FedEx job man!

Delivering isn't bad but ups is better go work for. As for working in the docks it is a boring job with a lot of bs.

So even if you top out at double that, which is unlikely, you'll be making less than $100,000 in a city where you need at least $200,000 to live a normal life.
