Im sitting here thinking about all the RF radiation people are now drenched in. I constantly complain to family to turn off their phones in the car, and they finally do. Yet this tech propagates. A recent reading out a public high school showed values 3x what is accepted as safe according to some governments.
Here's education on the subject: https://transition.fcc.gov/Bureaus/Engineering_Technology/Documents/bulletins/oet56/oet56e4.pdf
Specifically: page 9, para 3
Expand the subject to other areas as you wish... food quality, use of herbicides, smoking, drinking, etc..
Facts and details being irrelavent to the question... is it acceptable?

"Radiofrequency (RF) radiation, which includes radio waves and microwaves, is at the low-energy end of the electromagnetic spectrum. It is a type of non-ionizing radiation. Non-ionizing radiation does not have enough energy to remove electrons from an atom. RF radiation has lower energy than some other types of non-ionizing radiation, like infrared and visible light, but it has higher energy than extremely low-frequency (ELF) radiation.
If RF radiation is absorbed by the body in large enough amounts, it can produce heat. This can lead to burns and body tissue damage. Although RF radiation is not thought to cause cancer by damaging the DNA in cells the way ionizing radiation does, there has been concern that in some circumstances, some forms of non-ionizing radiation might still have other effects on cells that might somehow lead to cancer."

Your family members are patronizing you because it's just easier that way sometimes.
Attached report indicates "healthy ranges of RF". Who really knows as we are all different.
I'm sensitive in general and I'm sensitive to some signals. In a car it's far worse. Bluetooth and wifi I notice. I feel it most of the time and it feels bad.
Whether it's just annoying or destructive I don't know, but it definitely messes with my nerves... e. g. stress. Others seem to not notice.
Unfortunately, some may not be aware of what is causing their angst.
Murder is illegal. So no.
