How do you handle co workers making smart comments under their breath and making issues at work?

So I got into a disagreement with a co-worker who spent the day making smart comments to me and another co-worker all day some out loud and some under her breath. She started talking down to me, thinking I didn't hear her, so I spoke up for myself. I didn't think it would be an issues so I left it alone. So i get home, my boss texts me hey I've been getting concerans today about you putting Peanut butter in our Allergy free blenders."""""" I know right away it was my co-worker who said this because i heard her speaking under her breath, thinking i didn't hear her. My boss tried hiding the fact it was my co-worker ail who said this.

I explan to my boss what happened and told her I put the wrong label on a blender while alil was making smart comments under her breath towards me and our shift leader. I would never put prenutbutter in a clear blender they go in an orange blender. i come from a background of training people to make shakes at my old job. My boss did not reply back to any of my messages. We had someone who had an allergic reaction to smooth 3 days ago, which we don't know who made the smooth. I already figured out the issues everyone washes prenut butter smooths with the normal ones and even put the prenut butter tops with the normal ones.

I think it's highly like this is bow the consumer got sick. What would you do with a co-worker who acts like this? I also heard her talking under her breath about taking to a few shift leaders. So believe I will be single out at work now since I tend to be quite and respectful.

I decided to just hand in my two weeks I know what I am worth and this jobs just holding me back. I always treat everyone with kindness and help my co workers when they need me

Here's what I would do in that situation:

That coworker sounds like a real piece of work, always talking trash and trying to start drama. I'd be careful around her from now on. Don't give her any ammunition to twist your words.

As for your boss, I'd try talking to them again calmly and sticking to just the facts of what happened. Don't get emotional or accuse, just explain your side. Could also mention that you heard this cowoker muttering things before.

If your boss still doesn't seem to believe you, then start keeping notes of any other incidents, like dates/times this coworker acts out so you have proof.

You might also want to talk to the other employees she's whispered to, see if they'll back you up that she starts unnecessary problems a lot. Strength in numbers.

If it keeps being an issue with your work, you may need to consider finding another job so you don't have to deal with her BS every day. Not worth the stress! Some people just love to cause trouble.

Hang in there and don't let her get to you. Easier said than done, I know, but stay positive. Things have a way of working themselves out eventually.

Am considering leaving the job since mangerment just assume she was telling the truth and didn't even try talking to me. I told the mangerment I would like to talk about it in person but got no reply. I am always respectful to anyone and keep to myself but helps when they need ut

Yeah man, I wouldn't blame you for considering leaving that job at all. It's not worth the stress and frustration to deal with stuff like that on a regular basis. And the way management handled it, just taking her word without even talking to you, shows they're probably not going to have your back going forward either.

A few more thoughts:

- Since you already told them you want to discuss it further and got no response, that's pretty lame of them.

- I'd say you definitely need to look out for other opportunities, even if just to have a backup plan in place. No point staying somewhere you're not valued.

- When you do find something else, I'd be polite but honest about why you're leaving if they ask. Maybe they'll realize they didn't handle it well.

- In the meantime, keep your head down and just focus on your work without letting this girl distract you. Gray rock method - be polite but give no reaction to her BS.

- You seem like a hard worker so I'm sure you'll find a workplace that appreciates you without all the high school drama. Something better is definitely out there.

I'd rise above it. I'd also be very carefult to be beyond reproach, I'd do my job dilligently not listening to peoples private conversations (regardless what aperson is whispering about, me or otherwise its private and someone whos listening in is an eaves dropper or snoop).

So, makesure your careful to do a good job; Make sure your personable, helpful and supportive of people you work with (have their backs when they ask you, not before when you think they need you, and make sure they know you have their backs by speaking up against wrong treatment by others you witness personall, but not getting embroiled in any gossip or conjecture).

Do all of that, and you will find even if a coworker does snide behind your back people will know you personally to be good and not to be an eves dropper or snitch and will speak up for you as you have for them.

Bad people make life shit for themselves and seek to try to setup others to take the blame. You can't beat a bad person by bad actions, only by other good peoples support.

Its not about the blender. there's another problem. If you make it about the blender then you won't identify what is the problem.

It actually is about the blender since everyone in the store has made that same mistake and fixed it right away. I already know how the guest got sick they wash all the dishes together, which is cross-contamination
