What does my co-worker want to talk about if he said that out other coworkers complain too much?

He said he's tired of them complaining all the time and life isn't that bad and we aren't in a war torn country.

He also said one of our coworkers is so cynical and negative.

So im wondering what he would like to talk about such as with me. So far he has come up and asked me like what i had for lunch and he asked what im into (i think he means outside work) but i dont like talking about my life so i deflected that question real well LMAOOO.
