I’m 21 and I think my coworker is 20s or 30s. I think he might think I’m older because I’m mature. He’s friendly and works in the kitchen.
Last week he came to the front desk where I work and was like “I’m happy to see you today” and looked at me. I stuttered and said I didn’t know what to say and he laughed.
Since then he’ll steal glances at me when I’m talking to someone else.
I was alone and he came from a door and I told him I had been looking for him ( I had a package ) and he was like “we’re you?” Kind of flirtatiously.
He’s complimented other coworkers nails and dress once but he definitely seems more brotherly with them.
The other day I was on the phone with a guy and he came over in my area and told me I smelled really good.
He had to train this girl and kept coming in the lobby with her. I saw them but coincidentally was already rushing to leave. I rushed to the bathroom and the girl came in there and we talked. When I left he was standing outside the bathroom and I made a face. He asked me “what was that?” And was talking about my walk and I told him he scared me and he followed me back into the lobby and told me bye.
Friday he asked if I had any plans for this weekend. I told him I was just hanging with my dad for Father’s Day and I asked back. He then was like “I’m going to the mountains with my… girlfriend and her dad” he took forever to say girlfriend then I was like “cool” and he was like “yeah” and kept saying it and he kept lingering and I felt a strong sexual energy.
I had something to do for him and told him I got busy and was sorry he told me it was ok and I was doing amazing.
at the end of my shift I had to print and fix something and he was like “thank you for doing that” and looked at me for a little longer.
Today when I came in he was sitting at my desk on his laptop. When I got off the phone he asked how my weekend was. Later I saw a bug and was scared and he pretended to scare me by saying the bug was near me.
Is he interested?

Based on the behavior you have described, it certainly seems like your coworker could be interested in you. The compliments, stealing glances, and spending time near you are all signs that he is attracted to you. However, it is important to note that some people are naturally friendly and flirtatious without any romantic intentions. It is also possible that he mentioned his girlfriend to let you know that he is unavailable. The best way to find out for sure would be to ask him directly how he feels about you.
This man is playing with you, he knows very well that he's manipulating you using his looks as you are naive and would like that sort of attention.
Just know that this guy would do the same thing with you and move on, and the pain you'll feel would be immense. He was a girlfriend and isn't the type of person to care about her feelings and is happily going around flirting with other girls. Let this guy go, I know you like the attention, but it's short lived.
So you think he’s interested or likes the attention? I’m confused. What would he gain from manipulating me it’s not like I’ve been giving him attention back.
Or feeding his ego. I’ve never complimented him or anything.
