Tell me if this was a dick move.
So my editor was practically useless for a whole day because he got so drunk the night before that he was still tipsy the next day. (by the way, he did this on a Monday who gets wasted on a Monday?)
Meanwhile there was a small project that I forgot about so I told him it didn't get done cuz of Monday so he has to finish it today (Sunday)
Not that I really care what anyone does as long as things are getting done, but c'mon I totally get to do that right?

I can't afford drunk workers...
but, if I found someone drunk at work... I'd check up for them and their wellbeing, because it would be extremely out of character and I can't afford not to be close with my coworkers either

I'm so grateful that we're a production company. We get to live like we're in a cartoon. And being close with your workers is so important.
It's just that I'm starting to realize even though I'm good at this, I'm still inexperienced so I need to be on high alert about the whack-a-mole of issues that happen with maintaining the right atmosphere.

Thats what sets people apart when it comes to raises, promotions, etc - staying on task without bosses having to babysit all day

I mean that’s kinda petty, usually when my deckhands/helpers show up hungover I make them suffer then, not later. Thats what I always got and you definitely either smarten up or toughen up quick
That's a good mentality. If I'm not careful I can be an ass and I want to maintain a certain atmosphere... It feels like walking a tightrope sometimes 😂
