Voluntary repossession?

I have a car i can no longer make payments on and I don't know what to do. Been unemployed for 5 months now and getting no opportunities. The dealership that sold me the car marked it up 6.000, it prices for apprx 22k and i got it for 28k, instant mega L. Next when i took it to a mechanic and they ran a system check they found there is about 13k in labor and part costs which makes this 10 year old car model of 22k now 41k. A loss of 19k. If i give it up the auction will take into account the 13k in repairs and deduct that from the value which would leave me owing still 10-14k. Im so fuqed and dont know what to do. Im a minimum wage slave so this amount is about a years worth of work for my abilities

You can owe it. They can't collect it. Have you tried contacting legal aid?
