No!! I mean, if it's REALLY NEEDED or only costs a little bit (not much more than a couple bucks), especially if they pay you back immediately, I wouldn't say much of anything but, for instance, when mom had her stroke, my youngest sister would go cash her monthly checks for her and she'd run right to the store and use mom's money, WITHOUT ASKING, to buy HERSELF over $100 worth of groceries!!!
If I told mom that I was going to the store, she'd INSIST that I take a 20 from her purse to help pay for the groceries but, I had plenty of money at the time and didn't need hers but, just to keep her from arguing with me over it, I'd take the 20 in front of her, buy the groceries with MY money (I considered buying groceries for the house a kind of rent payment for letting me stay there, even though she never asked me to pay rent) and then, later, when I'd take her to the bathroom, I'd sneak the 20 back into her purse! She never knew I was doing that! Only once or twice did I ever use part of the 20 to help pay for groceries and that was if I didn't have enough on me.

yes, it's called "Stealing" and it has been a crime in every major civilization for the past 10,000 years. You're supposed to already know that by the time you can count money. I've never stolen more than 50 cents in my entire life combined, and I returned it about 5 minutes later after I got caught when I was 6 years old.

Technically theft regardless, but it kind of depends on who it was, what it was on, and why as for how to judge it considering it's family. (Ex. if it was a dependent vs a parent I think the situation is pretty different.) Also, like if the money was a shared account with the family member vs they just like took cash out of your wallet. Again, what's the context? Because like, if my mum or someone used my money without asking, I'd be confused and possibly upset, but I wouldn't be calling it theft bc I know she would have a good reason for it, ya know?
